Stefany E Gesser

Stefany was a force to be reckoned with, fighting for years to keep the community water supply safe. She was hired by Ocean County and volunteered with the Citizen’s Action Committee for over 20 years to help identify the chemicals responsible for the high rate of cancer in Toms River. She retired from the Ocean County Planning Department in 2001.

Stefany enjoyed antiquing and knitting. She would always knit beautiful outfits and blankets for all her family and friends.

Stefany is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, James (Jim) Gesser and her children, Nadia and her husband Felix, Jay “Jim” and his wife Maria, Lesley and her significant other Timmy, Nadine and her husband Sal and Adrienne and her husband Andy. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Leela, Hana, Colby, Taylor, Madison, Jackie, Sal III, Ty, Trent, Kaleb, and Cooper and her great-grandchildren Carson, Sophia, and Chloe. She is also survived by her siblings, Peg “Margaret” Kowalski and her husband George and Anthony “Tony” Kowalski and his wife Joyce.

We will always carry your memory in our hearts. You will be dearly missed.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 13 from 12:00pm-3:00pm, with a religious service at 2:30pm, at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Stefany's name to Ocean of Love.
