I just recently heard of your passing and am heartbroken.  Deepest sympathies to your sisters & their families.  Although we haven't spoken in years, I have thought of you often and missed your sarcastic wit.  My unofficial mentor at Matawan-Avenue Middle School, I still follow many of your suggestions in the classroom all these years later.  May you rest in peace, Sue.  And may your memory be eternal.

Suzanne had the most amazing personality.  She was warm, humorous, caring.  She touched everybody that she knew.  She was a beloved teacher.  I haven't seen her in quite a number of years, so I will always remember her as the vibrant 30-something she was the last time we met.  It is hard to believe that she is gone.  I know her family will miss her so much because she loved all of you to the very depth of her foundation.  Michelle was somebody that she just loved so much, and, in reading about Michelle on Facebook, I can see that she is a wonderful, big-hearted person - like her beloved aunt, Sue.

So very sorry to hear of our classmate Suzanne's passing.. remembering all of our good times at Neptune High, as well as fun at the house with Grace and the family.. may she rest in peace, Sincerely, Gerri Chappell Popkin, NHS, '68.

Please accept my deepest sympathy at the loss of Sue DeRosa from your family. I was proud to have known her as an excellent teacher who was not only fair, funny and firm :) when she needed to be as Ms. Sue. 

While my time with her and several other teachers in the Matawan Avenue Middle School it was a time when with your Sue as one of a few teachers who went far and beyond the school instructional environment. Along with Joe Dudzik, Preston Gillam, Howard Collins and a few other teachers some of us got another education outside of school while skiing, camping and other activities where at that time we learned lessons in real life, politics and common sense through Sue and the above listed teachers. It was a time I would still not trade those times and those life shaping experiences that now as a man, father and now even a grandfather I will never forget to appreciate and share such memories. 

In life most every person had one teacher they remember fondly I can assure you many would list the Sue DeRosa I knew as their favorite and memorable teacher. I thank you Ms. DeRosa so much and on behalf of far more who will know of your passing from this life to the afterlife know you were appreciated, respected and loved by many. I can assure you I will never forget her or what I learned in school and outside of school that has benefited me all my life.

To my dear cousin-may you rest in peace. I will miss you terribly.  Until we meet again-love you always.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Suzanne DeRosa to Joanne,Gloria, Annemarie and Family..i lived across the street at their Grandma's house and my Family would go over to their home and swim and eat.Suzanne was always there to help with the kids and feed them..She was a great person and will be sadly missed by all who knew her...Rest in Peace...Bernie Hurley

Ms. DeRosa, as I will always remember her by was my 8th Grade teacher and to this day I remember her fondly.  She encouraged, cared, and taught us how important it was to stand your ground and do what was right.  May God bless her and love her as she returns home.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
