Born and raised in Newark, NJ she graduated from Eastside High School. Thelma worked as an Office Manager for 50 years for a Law Office. She met her husband, Ted in 1968 and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past year. Thelma belonged to the Italian American Club and the Women's Club in Lake Ridge and loved line dancing.
Thelma is survived by her beloved husband, Ted and two step-sons Peter J. of Long Branch and Theodore and his wife Kathleen of Eatontown, four grandchildren, Danielle, Giovanna, John Anthony, and Grace Lorraine and two great-granddaughters Ellie and Penny. She is also survived by her brother Fred Verdia of Colonia, nieces and nephews Fred Verdia and his wife Wendy, Valerie Maccie and her husband Tony, Maria Bauer and her husband John, and John Verdia and wife Andrea and two great nieces and nephews, Sophia and John "JJ".
