Vivian B. Brown Holzhauer

Vivian B. Holzhauer died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. She was 86. Born in Lakewood, she was lifelong resident and was a devout parishioner of St. Mary of the Lake RC Church, Lakewood. She was a member of the parish’s Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters, and acted as a lectern.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard in 1987. Surviving are her 3 children, Linda Surgent and her husband Gerard of Freehold, Diane and her husband Richard of Hamilton, VA, and Richard of Lakewood; 7 grandchildren, Cheryl Demaree and her husband Peter, Tricia Surgent, Stephanie Surgent, Jonathan Rodgers, Kristopher Rodgers, Ryan Holzhauer and his wife Lori, and Evan Holzhauer; and 2 great-grandchildren, Madison and Weiland Demaree.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Lake RC Church, Lakewood, under the direction of D’Elia Funeral Home, Rte. 70 & Vermont Ave., Lakewood.
