William (“Bill”) Oscar Addison of Brick, NJ, born July 25, 1950, fought hard but ultimately succumbed to a battle with cancer on April 9, 2020. After graduating from Lakewood High School, Bill went on to serve the people of Lakewood as a Police Officer, retiring as Chief of Detectives after 39 years. He spent his retirement traveling, fishing, and hanging out with his grandchildren. He loved his family and wanted nothing more than to see them happy. Bill was predeceased by his father, William Clinton Addison, and his mother Christine Horta. He is survived by Ellen, his wife of 47 years, his children Michele Maclauchlan (Jason), Jessica West (Ryan), William (also “Bill”) James Addison (Sandra), and Stephen Addison (Francesca), and his six beloved grandchildren Liam, Logan, Paige, Quinn, Billy, and Clara. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Bill, hug your family, grab your fishing gear, and get out on the water.
