William "Bill" Costello

William “Bill” Costello, 84, passed away June 11, 2018 at the Rose Garden Nursing Home in Lakewood. He was born and raised in New York City moving to Oak Ridge for 30 years and finally settled in the Fairways Community in Lakewood, NJ. Bill is a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx. He worked as an Inspector Foreman of Bendix Aviation for 35 years. Mr. Costello was a member of the Men’s Club in the Fairways and was a communicant of the St. Mary of the Lake Church. His true passion in life was spending time with his loving family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Costello is predeceased by his son, Glenn, brother, Farrell, and two sister-in-laws, Carol Costello and Margie Pruyne. Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen, daughter, Lauren Belfiore and her husband, Frank, son, Brian Costello and his wife, Melissa, daughter-in-law, Alma Costello, and five grandchildren, Kyle, Janna, Haley, Matthew and Alexa. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 3-7PM at the D’Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 10:30AM at the St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood. Cremation will be held privately. Bill,you were one of my favorite residents at rosegarden..your smile and laugh were contagious..its so hard to say goodbye but im so glad you are at peace. We would always laugh and say i was your wife when kay wasnt was a true honor to be with you the past 4 years and you and your family will always be in my heart,love you and RIP
