William Andrew Malayter, Sr., age 92, of Milford, DE, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the Genesis Nursing Home in Milford, DE. William was born in New York, NY on June 7, 1924, and he was the son of the late Mary and John Malayter. After his birth in New York, he was a Lakewood resident before moving to Milford, DE. Prior to retirement, William had a career with Verizon as an installer. He was also a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Husband of the late Althea Malayter, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William, Jr. and Linda Malayter of Milford, DE. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. His funeral service will be conducted at 11a.m. on Thursday, in the mausoleum chapel at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Entombment will follow.
