
She was born to the late Frederick and Wilma Clarke, May 11, 1926, in Plainfield, NJ. Wilma graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1943.
She married the late Ronald Carter in 1944, and they lived together in Manasquan, NJ for most of their 46 years of marriage. Wilma relocated to Lakewood in 1995. She is survived by her sister Phyllis, of Lakewood, her brother Thomas of California and only child Guy Carter, of New City, NY, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Wilma was predeceased by her devoted husband in 1990.
Wilma was an avid participant in life and activities at the Jersey Shore, where she enjoyed exploring area’s yard sales, shops and restaurants with her sisters Bette and Phyllis. She was particularly fond of parking at the Manasquan inlet to watch people and boat traffic. Wilma served as a volunteer for many years at Point Pleasant Hospital after retiring from Equifax after 20+ years.
It was Wilma’s wish to be remembered as a good friend and neighbor by all of those whose lives she touched.
