Alvin Edward Woods of Texas City was born June 12, 1932 in Weatherford, Texas and passed from this life December 28, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Woods, a resident of Texas City, was self employed. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Texas City. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sons, Alvin Edward Woods, Jr (deceased 1984) and Darryl W. Woods (deceased 2013). He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carmie Woods; his children,Connie Dyrline Kahn, Denise Hamilton, Deanna Martin, Kerry Woods and Cheryl Williams; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; other family members and friends.
