Betty Mason Henry

On August 12, 1974 in Galveston, Texas, a beautiful baby girl was born to Mary Mason and Rev. Ludie Lynch. Betty was educated in the public schools of Texas City, Texas and attended Texas City High School. At an early age she accepted Christ and united with Rose of Sharon Christian Center in Texas City and was baptized by the late Bishop Paul W. Hall, Sr. She continued her Christian journey and united with Greater Open Door Church of God in Christ under Elder Michael Spry, Sr. On the morning of September 29, 2015, God called and claimed His child, Betty. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany S. Carthorn; grandmother, Josie Mae Mason and grandfather, Billy Franklin. Cherished memories will forever linger in the hearts of her husband, Anthony Henry; mother, Mary Mason Nelson (Larry); father, Rev. Ludie Lynch; children, Clara Randle (Jerrell), Greg Randle (Anna), Mark Randle (April) and Tamara Young; siblings, Alexis Mason, Christopher Mason (Francis) and Andrew Mason (Tina); Godmother, Clara Randle; 5 grandchildren, devoted cousins, Kizzie Mason Cockrel (Tavajoh), Tyrone Jones and Faleisha Mason; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
