Bonnie J Ashley Arceneaux

Bonnie J. Ashley Arceneaux, affectionately known as “Granny”, “Bun Bun” and “B. J.” to her family, was peacefully called to her eternal rest on September 14, 2016 at UTMB Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, lovingly surrounded by her family.   Bonnie was born July 20, 1944 in Eunice, Louisiana to James and Rose Edwards Ashley. She was a graduate of Central High School in Galveston, Class of 1963.    Bonnie married Robert Arceneaux in 1963. She was employed at Chocolate Bayou Refinery from 1975 until her retirement in 2000 after serving 25 years.   Bonnie now joins those who preceded her in death: her parents, James and Rose Ashley; her husband, Robert Arceneaux; and daughter, Monica Arceneaux.   She leaves cherished and beautiful memories in the hearts of her daughter, Tamara Arceneaux Franshaw; granddaughter, Ashley Arceneaux; grandson, Brian Franshaw; a special and devoted friend, Lucious Hicks; close friends, Roy and Barbara James; extended family, her children, Sharon James Johnson, Denise James Reese and Damon Horn; and a host of other family members and friends
