Brenda Faye Parker

On April 18, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana, a beautiful baby girl was born to the union of Aaron Arvie and Marjorie Terry Arvie.  They named their blessing, Brenda Faye Arvie.The family moved to Texas City while Brenda was young.  She was educated in the public schools of La Marque, Texas and was a 1972 graduate of La Marque High School.  At a young age, she accepted Christ and was baptized into the Church of Christ under the leadership of her father, Bro. Aaron Arvie.  She remained faithful to her church.Brenda married the love of life, Jackie Parker Sr. on June 23, 1973.  This union was blessed with five sons.Brenda was employed with the La Marque Independent School District as an Aide.  She loved her children and worked diligently with them at La Marque High School.On December 30, 2015, Brenda's earthly journey was completed.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Marjorie Arvie; her beloved husband, Jackie Parker Sr.; her infant son, Phillip Ryan Parker and her beloved in-laws, Louis Parker Sr. and Irma D. Parker.Left to cherish memories of her life are her devoted sons, Jackie Parker Jr. and wife, Dineen Parker, Scott Parker, Timothy Parker Sr. and wife Shacomme Parker and Ashton Parker and wife, Ericka Parker; her grandchildren, Chassidy Parker, Jackie Parker II, Caleb Parker, Timothy Parker Jr., Dylan Parker, Dayden Parker, Dasani Parker, Laila Parker, Sharina Rainey, Scott Parker Jr., Azure Parker and Nyla Parker; great-grandchildren, Cherish Arielle Rollings and Cree Lanier Bennett; her beloved in-laws, Toni Rowe and husband, Bro. Gene Rowe Jr., Hazel Allen and husband, Harry Allen, Faye Cousey and husband, James Cousey and Louis Parker Jr. and wife, Bessie Parker; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
