

Elder Namon Bourgeois, Jr. was born October 13, 1937 in Jeanerette, Louisiana to Namon and Orelia Williams Bourgeois. Namon was educated in the public schools of Galveston, and LaMarque, Texas. He served in the United States Navy, and at an early age accepted Christ. He was called into the ministry and he remained a Kingdom Builder until God called him home. He met and married Bobbie Jean Pollard. To this union, 3 children were born, Gregory, Cynthia, and Donna. After 43 years of marriage, Bobbie went home to be with Jesus and, he met and married Sallie Mae Francis and they were together until his demise. On the day of February 7, 2017, God called Namon home to his eternal rest. He is preceded in death by his parents, Namon, and Orelia Bourgeois. Brothers, Leonard, and David Bourgeois. His 1st wife Bobbie Jean Bourgeois, and his son Charles L. Henderson. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Minister Sallie M. Bourgeois; his son, Gregory Lynn Bourgeois; daughters, Cynthia Bourgeois Miles, Elder Donna Bourgeois Burton (Michael); Cassandra Francis Mathis (Frank), and Felicia Francis Bob (Travis); sisters, Leona Bourgeois Archie (Taylor), Helen Bourgeois Guidry, Norma Bourgeois Cooper; Sister-in-Law Lillian Ward (Henry); Brothers-in-Law, I.B. Henderson (Mildred) and Walter Henderson. 18 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
