

Frank Francis, Sr.entered this world on September 21, 1928 in St. Martinville, Louisiana. He was born to the union of Albert Francis, Sr. and Crecy Ogle Francis. He was educated in the public schools of St. Martinville Parish. Frank was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving his tour of duty until he was honorably discharged. He moved to Texas and was employed at Southwest Warehouse (formerly the Cotton Shed) in Galveston, Texas. Frank later united in marriage to the love of his life, Ms. Annie Pearl Brooks of La Marque, Texas. He was a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church in West Texas City. Frank was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and also enjoyed socializing with his neighbors. Even after he became a resident of Ashton Parke Care Center, his jovial character continued with the staff and residents. He also enjoyed his Pastor, Pastor Travis Durst and the Deacons of Greater Macedonia bringing him the Lord's Supper on First Sundays. Frank departed this earthly life on the morning of June 24, 2014 at Ashton Parke Care Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Crecy and Albert Francis, Sr.; his wife, Annie Pearl Brooks Francis; his grandson, Elton Francis, Jr.; siblings, Juliua Francois, Clarence Francis, Sr. Alfred Francis, Mildred Curley and Edna Linden; and in-laws, Mr. & Mrs. Lovie Brooks, Robert Brooks and Lige Brooks. Left to cherish memoires of his life are his children, Rhonda Francis, Frank Francis,Jr., Nancy Porter, Elton Francis and Ramona Francis; his grandchildren, Jamarlon Francis, Helen Francis Jenkins (Gerald), Shelley Annett Brown (Marlon), Shenee Francis, Brandon Francis and Chanavia Scoggins; a sister, Daisy; god-daughter, Shenikka Watkins Miles; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Laura Brooks, Ollie Davis, Velma Coleman, Mary Brooks, Evelyn Brooks, Cecil Brooks (Elouise) and John Brooks (Jeanie); his great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members; his Ashton Parke Family; and many friends.
