Horace L Bradford

Horace L. Bradford was born November 8, 1929 in Huntsville, Texas to the late Archie Johnson "Ed" Bradford and Alice Glaze Bradford. Educated in the public schools of Sam Houston, he was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. In 1945, he moved to Galveston, Texas and became a member of Ave L Baptist Church. He married the love of his life, Mary Walker on May 25, 1954. To this loving union, two children were born. After moving to La Marque, he united with Rising Star Baptist Church where he has served over 50+ years. He was a Trustee of the church. Mr. Bradford was employed with Memorial Hospital of Galveston County retiring in 1983. He was also a dedicated member of La Marque Masonic Lodge #373 F&AM - Prince Hall Affiliation in Texas City; and a former member of the ALF-CIO. Mr. Bradford ended his earthly journey on December 30, 2011. Left to cherish his memories are his devoted and loving wife, Mary Bradford; daughters, Alice Bradford-Medcalf and Barbara Bradford; sisters, Joyce Parker, Birdie Bradford, Flora Harrison and Billie Jo Green; brother, L. W. Bradford; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
