

Joseph McKinley Hardy, Jr. was born to the union of Joseph McKinley Hardy, Sr. and Alice Hulit Hardy on June 4, 1938 in Karnack, Texas. Joseph was a quiet and humble man who loved his family. He was working career included: Todd Shipyard, Hardy Trucking Texas City Refinery and Sullivan Trucking, presently Savage Trucking as a Truck Driver for a number of years before his retirement. Joseph departed this life Friday, May 22, 2015 at his home in Texas City with his loved ones by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Joseph M. Hardy, Sr.; brother, Carver Hardy; sister, Patsy Hardy Booty; grandparents, Rev. Joseph and Patsy Hardy, Charlie and Carrie Hulit; grandson, Keelin Garley. He leaves his legacy in the hearts of his family: children, La Wanda Hardy Moore and husband, Harold Moore, Corey Hardy and wife, Charlotte Hardy, Jeremy Hardy, Dominique Hardy, Keosha Hardy and Terry Joseph Hardy; step-children, Keisha and Eric Duke Osborne; sisters, Willie Mae Johnson, Carrie "Sue" Rue, and Licha Lee Hardy; brothers, Howard Hardy and Herbert Lee Hardy; grandchildren, Jameria Laws, Minenaya Moore, Corey Hardy, Jr., Nydia Caldwell, Nikori Hardy, Jaylynn Hardy, Jordan Hardy, Cameron Hardy, Shayla Hardy and Caylee Hardy; one great-granddaughter, Jaidis Ward; nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
