I am Joyce Marie Hart Moore and since you are reading this I have transitioned to be with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My life was full and complete so now I’m at rest. I was born February 7, 1942 and left this earth February 16, 2020. My parents, Albert and Viola Hart, have been awaiting my arrival in Heaven. While here, I could not have been blessed with better parents as they were. As an only child, they showered me with love, love and more love.
Being raised in Galveston, Texas, I attended public schools and graduated from the historic Central High School in 1959. I loved learning and went on to attend Texas Southern University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Biology-1967. I also returned to college after many years to obtain my RN degree and graduated with honors-Phi Theta Kappa. My employment history consisted of working in many departments at UTMB starting as a teenager in dietary, then working in the Physiology Bio-Physics Department, Orthopedics, Caremanagement Department and lastly promoted to a management position at the Texas Department of Corrections UTMB Hospital until my retirement. I worked at Monsanto Chemical Plant and Texas Home Health Agency as well. I loved swimming, traveling, cooking and cruising.
My spiritual connection with the Lord Jesus was very strong and I could not have had a better pastor, Rev. Dwayne K. Carpenter, Sr. I was baptized at an early age and joined Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. G.W. Singleton, Jr. I continued my membership there until the end.
I have many children but only one, very special biological son, Ronald Scott, Sr. who was there for me throughout my life. He was my blessing from God and made me proud to be his mother. I love you dearly son.
I leave a shining beacon light to live on in the hearts I touched and recommend Jesus to all who don’t know him. I tried to stay positive truly trusting God, during these times and pray the good memories we’ve shared live on forever.
I am preceded in death by my parents Albert and Viola Hart, a brother, Edward Earl Murphy (Trudy) and another son, Emile P. Henry, Sr. Celebrating my victory in Jesus is my son, Ronald Scott, Sr. (Jennifer), other children, Ronald Gordon (Beverly), Sherry Henry, Grandchildren, Nyesha Bell, Ashton Scott (Tanya), Ashley Scott, Ronald Scott (Erika), Brittnee Scott, Emilia Scott, Keisha Jones (Trevell), Kristina Scott, Stella Amaro Scott, Elijah Wimberly Scott, Gloria Smith and Yvonne Smith, Karen Gaines, Joseph Pope, Danyale Henry-Fields (Kevin), Emile P.
