

On October 4, 1948 in DeWalt, Texas, Mack McCoy was born to Mary Walker and Joseph McCoy. He was well known as "M.C." Mack accepted Christ at an early age. He attended public school at Jack Foster Dulles High School and later moved to the Dickinson-League City area. He was active and outgoing in the construction industry, worked for the City of Dickinson, where he resigned and later became co-owner of Personal Touch Paint. He loved helping others and making others laugh. Mack, at the age of 63, answered the call of his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at his home in La Marque, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; wife, Lou Ann McCoy; daughter, Tara Lynn McCoy; brother, Grant Simpson; sister, Daisy Mae McCoy and nephew, Freddie Lee Pinkney. He leaves behind children, Melinda McCoy of Houston, Mack "Poppy Cotton" McCoy, Jr. of Houston, Jermaine Small of Dickinson; sisters, Gloria Jean McCoy of Texas City, Viola McCoy of Hitchcock; an aunt, Katherine Walker of Dickinson; and a close friend whom he considered a brother, Michael Wayne Wheeler of League City. Uncle Mack also leaves his love and most precious memories in the hearts of other family members, H. K. Pinkney, Jr. and family, John Earl Walker, Olavian Pinkney Johnson and family, Maryland Pinkney and family, Rhonda Faye Pinkney, Lorenzo Pinkney Jr., Maple Pinkney and family, Fredie McCoy and family, Vineca McCoy Daniel and family, Joseph and Nikki McCoy, Corrine Wiley and family, Daphne Wiley and family, McNair Walker, Sidney "Boomer" Phifer II and family, Ardella Phifer, Katlyn Wiley, Shantel Phifer and family, Michael Wayne Wheeler and family; life-long friend, Cynthia Anne and family, Debbie from next door and family; close friend, John "Devil Mane" Cooper and all of his dearest family and friends.
