Mr. Daniel Elijah Ray Pinesette

Daniel Elijah Ray Pinesette Sr. Obituary Daniel Elijah Ray Pinesette Sr., age 39, passed away peacefully at his home in Texas City, TX on July 16, 2017. He was born on April 16, 1978 in Galveston, TX to his mother Julie Pinesette Davis.  Daniel attended La Marque High School from 1994 until 1997 and later earned his high school diploma from New Beginnings Academy, Houston, TX.  Daniel also attended North Harris Community College where he successful earned his Commercial Drivers License and certification as a professional driver.  Daniel was a truck driver by trade and loved the open road.  He was deemed as the driver on all road trips whether it was family, friends or business associates.  Daniel was loved by everyone and was the best quartet bass guitarist in the Houston Gulf Coast region. He taught many his craft and learned so much more from so many more.  He showcased his gift of music as a bass guitarist, a sound engineer, vocalist, music director and so much more.  His gift made room for him in several local churches, quartet groups like the Servants, Voices of the Mainland, the Gospel Spirituals, Ziyon, New Season, Chuck and the Guiding Clouds and so many more in the Houston Quartet Arena. Daniel not only enjoyed quartet gospel music but he also enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, singing and cooking was his thing! Anyone that knows Rev D & Company Catering, knew that he was a chef in his own right! Daniel loved to make people happy especially when they ate his food. Daniel Pinesette Sr. is survived by his five children, Daniel E.R. Pinesette Jr, Destiny Pinesette, DeMyan Pinesette, Diamond Pinesette and Dashaun Pinesette, his life-long friend & ex-wife Jometra Hawkins, his mother Julie Davis, his 2 brothers John Pinesette & Steven Davis, his devoted sister Tamika Pinesette and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, 1 neice, a 4 nephews and many other family and friends who love him. Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pastor Luetellie Pinesette, Eula Pinesette and 2  aunts Debroah Scales and Elnor McNeal.  Daniel Pinesette Sr.’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 1pm at the Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2717 Ball Galveston, Texas 77550, where Rev. Mark James is the Pastor. Pastor D.J. Harris of the Greater Harvest Baptist Church, LaMarque, TX, will officiate and Pastor Stanley E. Phill of A Safe Place Praise and Worship Center, Houston, TX will be the eulogist. There will also be a celebration of life and legacy musical on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 7pm at Cullen Missionary Baptist Church, 13233 Cullen Blvd. Houston, TX.
