

Patricia Ann Johnson was born to the union of Martin Johnson and Notie Anderson Johnson on September 21, 1949 in Wharton, Texas. She was educated in the public schools of El Campo, Texas and was a graduate of El Campo, Texas. She furthered her education and attended Bishop College. At an early age, she accepted Christ and united with Camp Zion Baptist Church in Spanish Camp. Later she moved to Texas City and united with Greater Barbour’s Chapel Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Pastor H. A. Ratcliff, Jr. She was a loyal member of the church and an active member of the Missionary Society and Mother’s Union. She began her career in Child Care and worked at various child care agencies including, Booker T. Washington Head Start, Yeager Home, Live Oak Day Care, ABC Day Care and was the Day Care Supervisor at St. Vincent’s House until her retirement. On September 23, 2016, God called His child home to rest. She is preceded in death by her parents. Left to celebrate memories of her life are her devoted sons, Ambus Johnson and wife, Monique and Jonah William; her grandchildren, Konner William, Lily William, Shadreekka Johnson, Darvon Johnson, Shawntinique Godfrey, Davis Godfrey and Meah Godfrey; her sisters, Bester Mae Lott, Etta Louise Johnson and Joyce Marie Phillips; brother, Willis M. Johnson and wife, Deloris Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
