Peggy Lynn Clemons

Peggy Lynn began her earthly journey on January 5, 1958; and oh, what a wonderful journey it was. She was a sweet baby girl that blessed the lives of Felix Foster and Lucille Joyce Pope Clemons and Judge Henderson Clemons. She was vibrant and full of energy; Peggy made a mighty impact during her time here. She will always be remembered for her gracious ways, infectious laugh, kind heart and beautiful smile. Her friendly persona endeared her to many people throughout her life.

She was educated in the public schools of Galveston Independent School District. She was a proud graduate of Ball High School Class of 1976. She left her mark on Ball High as a member of the Pep Squad. Peggy had a heart for helping people and she found her perfect fit with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. She gave years of dutiful service as an employee. She was then led to Texas City Food Bank where she continued giving valuable service making sure the needs of others were met. Nothing gave her joy like spending quality time with her family. She loved Mardi Gras; and enjoyed hosting her Mardi Gras party with family and friends. She was united in Holy matrimony to Nerron Burns.

Peggy accepted the love of Jesus in her heart and worshipped at The Carpenter’s House in La Marque, Texas. In her spare time she watched game shows and sports. Because of her enormous heart, many people admired her character. Her radiant smile brought joy to lots of people she encountered.

Peggy Lynn Clemons Burns transitioned from her earthly life into her eternal life on July 18, 2020. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Hubbard; father, Felix Foster; husband, Nerron Burns; brother Stewart Clemons and other loved ones.

Her loving memory will live on in the hearts of her family, siblings, Marilyn Brown of Houston, TX, Judge Clemons of Galveston, TX and Jacquelynn Clemons of Houston, TX; her daughter and son in law, Melody and Joe Jenkins of La Marque, TX; a host of grandchildren, aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
