"Today I will remember that because of Jesus, I am worthy to be called God's son, a man to be reckoned with, with nothing to prove" ~ Every Heart Restored Sunrise: August 3, 1978 Sunset: June 19, 2013 Rashad was born on August 3, 1978 in Houston, Texas. He was educated in the Clear Creek Independent School District, where he graduated from Clear Brook High School in 1997. Rashad traveled around the country in sales and finally settled in Houston, working in the restaurant industry. He was a dedicated employee of Artesians French Cuisine in downtown Houston. Rashad loved to work. He often worked double shifts and offered to be on-call to cover whenever there was a shortage. Rashad loved life! He was a simple man that lived a simple life. He had strong convictions and never wavered from them. If he could help you, he would. If he said he would do something for you, he would. As a young boy, he suffered a brain injury, which left him with partial paralysis on his right side. In spite of that paralysis, he NEVER complained. Although many people tried to limit him, he overcame. Many people stared and whispered about him, however that only made him stronger. He was a survivor. Whatever he set his mind to do, he did it. His philosophy was, "Don't sweat the small stuff"! Rashad had a strong passion for writing. He always dreamed of becoming a screenwriter. He enjoyed collecting and watching DVD movies, listening to music, and drinking coffee at Starbucks. Rashad accepted Christ as a young child and was baptized at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Dickinson, Texas. He later joined and worshipped at Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church in Hitchcock, Texas, until he moved to Houston. Rashad went to be with our Lord on June 19, 2013. He is celebrating with his Great Grandparents, Clyde & Lucille Erskin, Felix & Savannah Jenkins and Leola Walker and Grandfather, Goree Jenkins. Rashad will be truly missed by his parents, James and Carla Eaglin; his brothers, Durial (Jossie) Eaglin, and Terry Salter; his mother, Sheila Gregg; his grandparents, Cora Erskin (Dickinson, TX); Ernest and Verlean Owens (Moorpark, CA); Walter and Connie Presley (Detroit, MI); Joe and Early Lacey (Houston, TX); and James and June Eaglin (Aurora, CO); his aunts and uncles, Valerie Erskin (Houston, TX); Calvin (Rhonda) Jenkins (Fresno, TX); Rev.
