

Taylor Farmer, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, passed away suddenly on May 27, 2013 at Clear Lake Hospital, surrounded by family . Taylor was born on April 28, 1942 in Washington County, Brenham, Texas to Robert and Edna Farmer. He grew up in Dickinson, Texas, graduating from Dunbar High School. Taylor was employed by Xcel Company as general foreman until he retired. He was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Amos Sowell. Taylor was known as the second strongest man ever to live in Dickinson, the first being his father, Robert. He was once a bull rider & horse trainer known well over most of Texas, especially in Galveston, Harris and Brazoria Counties. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents. Robert and Edna Farmer, Brothers, Mack, Charles Wilbur; sisters, Lois Belser (brother-n-law Jimmie Belser) and Aretta Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Debra Denise; his children, Robert, Eddie (Louisa), Mechela, Tyrell, Taylisha, Omar, Kenneth, Vickie, and Shanteil; a sister, Bernice (Renel) Boudreux; a brother, Alton (Peggy) Farmer; and a host of family members and friends.
