Tiffany's Journey On August 1, 1972, the earthly journey of a beautiful baby girl began in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the day God blessed this earth with Tiffany Rochell Cousin, a soul that was destined to touch the lives of many. Tiffany was born to the union of Brenda Wilson Cousin and Melvin Cousin, the younger of two children born to this union. Educated in the public schools of New Orleans, she was a 1989 graduate of McDonogh #35 Senior High School. During her high school years she was active in various organizations including the Cheerleading Squad. At an early age, Tiffany accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at Greater St. Stephen's Full Gospel Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton. In 1999, Tiffany moved to Houston, Texas, a beautiful young woman with a determined mind to succeed. She endeavored to enhance her life and continued her education. She was a graduate of Capella University and the University of Phoenix where she received her Masters of Education. One of her last endeavors, she was as a student of Cosmetology. Being nurtured in Christian home, after moving to Houston, she continued her walk with the Lord, and united with the Fountain of Praise Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Remus E. Wright. She later joined the Order of Eastern Star. God blessed Tiffany with two beautiful daughters who were the love of her life. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend. During the last couple years of her life, Tiffany fought a courageous battle with Cancer. Her journey was difficult at times, however, her trust and faith in GOD helped her to continue each day, and allowed her to be a blessing to those whom she came in contact with. On Saturday, February 22, 2014, God came and whispered to me, "Tiffany my child, it's time for you to rest." With her loving family at her side, she quietly transitioned into her eternal rest. Upon her heavenly arrival, she was welcomed by her grandparents, Frank Wilson, Jr., Irene Patterson Wilson, Melvin Cousin, Sr. and Naomi Woodfork Cousin. Left to celebrate her Victory in Jesus are her beautiful daughters, Shelby and Sydney Cousin; her devoted mother and step-father, Brenda and Rodney Gary; her beloved father and step-mother, Melvin and Ivy Cousin; a devoted brother, who unselfishly gave her all his time and attention and never left her side, Troy A. Cousin and her "sister", his fiancé, Rhonda K. Davis; her sisters and brother, Teresa Crawford (Randy), Lisa Cox (Greg), Arianne Cousin, Michael Cousin, Rachel Williams and Jason Miller; her aunts and uncles, Mary W. Sentino, Regina W. Gould, Debra W. Gilbert (Aaron), Consuelo Cousin Duplessis, Naomi Davillier, Sandra Wilson, Gerard J. Cousin, John Raphaell and Gregory Cousin; a special friend, Aaron Reese; nieces, nephews, great-aunts and uncles; and a host of cousins, extended family, classmates and devoted friends who will cherish my memories. She came through many hard trials through temptations on every hand. Though satan tried to stop her and place her feet on sinking sand - Through the pain and all of her sorrows, Through tears and all of her fears, The Lord was there to keep her, For He's kept her in the midst of it all. Not because she's been so faithful, Not because she always obeyed, It's not because she trusted Him to be with her all of the way. But it's because He loves her so dearly, He was there to answer her call, There always to protect her, For He kept Tiffany in the midst of it all. She would want us all to continue sharing the love that we shared with her. She won't be very far, just keep the memories in your heart and she shall live on forever. One thing we are sure she would tell us. "I want God to bless you double!!" Tiffany, until we meet again, WE LOVE YOU!!
