A graveside service for Veronica will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.

Veronica Sue Lockerby Smith was known as Ronnie Sue. Ronnie Sue passed away on March 8th of 2022 at the age of 80 in La Marque, Texas. She was born on February 8th of 1942 in Kansas City, Kansas. She has been reunited with her mother Odelia Lockerby and her father James Charles Lockerby Sr. Veronica Sue Lockerby Smith will be buried at 2:30 p.m. of Friday March 18th 2022 at Forest Part East located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, TX 77598.

Ronnie Sue Smith retired from Walgreens at the age of 78 years old. Ronnie worked for Walgreens over 30 years of her life. She enjoyed all of her thoughtful customers. She could talk for hours just about her family with them.

Ronnie was a loving sister, mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her dearest sisters Donna (Lockerby) Arnold , Barbara (Lockerby) Drysdale and Laura (Lockerby) Vunovich; her lovely brother James Charles Lockerby Jr; her sweet daughter Stacy Ann (Smith) Ayers; her beautiful granddaughter Shana Adell (Ayers) Freeman, her handsome grandson Brandon Dale Ayers, and son-in-law Clifford Dale Ayers.

Ronnie lived a full and happy life. She absolutely loved her family and devoted all of her time and joy to her siblings, daughter, and especially her grandchildren. If you know Ronnie, then you know she was obsessed with WWE. She would watch it every week, Monday Night Raw, Friday Night Smack Down, NXT and even went to a live event. Wrestling and family were Ronnie’s favorite things about life.

Veronica Sue Lockerby Smith, we part for now until we meet again. You will be forever loved , forever missed and never forgotten. As our families grow old, we promise to you to do our best to enjoy life nearly as much as you did. We will continue to laugh and roll around the ground at the smallest and most thoughtful and precious moments in life and always think back to those times with you. We love you with all of our hearts and souls. See you in the future.
