Willie Charles Martin was born December 2, 1949 in Galveston, Texas to Johnnie Martin Jr. and Katie Jackson Martin. Willie was educated in the public schools of La Marque, Texas attending Lincoln High School. He worked for a number of years at Gene Hamon Ford in Texas City. Willie departed this life October 16, 2015 at Kindred Hospital Clear Lake in Webster, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Martin Jr.; sister, Shirley Martin; and brothers, Johnnie Martin, III and Robert Martin. Left to cherish memories of his life are his beloved mother, Katie M. Martin; sisters, Averstine Martin, Nancy Moses, and Lenora Martin; one brother, James Martin; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
