Alice Jane (Phillips) Grant age 67 of Crooksville, Ohio surrounded by her devoted husband and children, went to be with her Savior, Nov. 12, 2013. She was born September 18, 1946 in Paintsville, KY. A faithful servant of God, she enjoyed cooking, writing, traveling and spending time with her family. Alice retired from Mid-Ohio Psychological Services and previously worked for AAA and Washburn Travel.
Survived by her husband of 48 years, James Grant Sr., Son, James Grant Jr. ( Kristy) of Texas, daughters, Karla (Roger) Green, Susan (Terry) Shumaker and Karen (Cole) Chattos, of Ohio, 10 precious grandkids, 7 step grandkids, and 15 great grandkids, sisters, Doris, Peggy and Janet.
She was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Berneice Phillips.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and Saturday 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Open Door Freewill Baptist Church, Lancaster with Pastors Willie Booth and Curtis Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Amanda Twp. Cemetery, Amanda.
