Barbara “Barbie” Bixler passed away Saturday May 24, 2025. Barbie was Born June 7, 1940 in Lancaster, Ohio. She loved life and her sweet dog “Sugar” and cat “Mickey”. She loved her flower gardens and being outside and always checking on her neighbors. Barbie worked as a hairdresser for many years at Fountain Beauty Salon then moved on to Anchor Hocking where she retired after 30 years of service. She was grateful for all the help, care and support from the daughter she never had Theresa Thomas. Special thanks to Joe and Shelly Walker, Roy Haislette and Ronda Pritchard for the help they provided as well. Would also like to extend thanks to FairHoPe Hospice and Arbor’s at Carroll for the care Barbie received in her final days. Barbie was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Viola Shaeffer and her loving husband, Todd E. Bixler.
A burial for Barbie will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
