Betty J. (Wright) McCoy, 86, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at her residence. Betty was born on February 14, 1938 in Cowen, WV the daughter of the late Asa Wright and Icie (Bender) Wright.
She is survived by her daughters, Penny McCoy of Opelika, AL and Kitty McCoy of Lancaster, son, Martin McCoy of Lancaster; grandchildren, Shane, Taylor, Meghan and Jeremy: great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Trevor, Maddox and Nova.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard McCoy, parents, grandsons, Christopher and Drew, great grandchild, Jackson Reta, daughter-in-law, Tonya McCoy; brothers, Bob, Buster and Bud, sisters, Louise, Wanda and Jo.
Friends may call Friday from 11am to 1pm at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Wymer officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster.
