Betty M Wicks

Betty Mae Wicks, 93, of Lancaster passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2025, at the Woodlands of Columbus. Betty was born on December 12, 1931, in Racine, Ohio, where she was 1 of 10 children born to the late Thurman and Laura Mae Hill Martin. She was very involved with the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the Special Olympics for many years. She loved canning green beans, making grape jelly and pies for others. Her 5 Crockpots were used to feed those she loved and those in need for many years. Betty attended Fairfield Christian Church and First Church of the Nazarene Lancaster.

Betty is survived by her children, Richard K. (Jackquelyn) Wicks, Brenda (Michael) Cunningham, Carla (Daniel Waring) Waring, and Janna Wicks; grandchildren, Timothy Cunningham, Leah Wicks, Michael Christopher Cunningham, Tegan Waring, and Lucas Waring; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Mae and Abigail Grace; and her sister, Margaret Ellen Martin Cline.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 1PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Burial is to follow at Forest Rose Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11AM-1PM on Monday at the FUNERAL HOME.
