
Bill (Howard William) Miller Jr., 84, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Pickering House, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Bill was born in Zanesville, Ohio on February 15, 1942, to the late Howard Sr. and Florence Miller. He proudly served in the United States Army for 6 years, serving in the 101st Airborne Division. He retired from UPS after 32 years of service. Bill was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, the American Legion, and the “Old Man’s Club”. He was also a member of St. Bernadette Parish.
Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie Miller; children, Gail (Eddie) Ruble, Neil (Bobbi) Miller; grandchildren, Jenna (Brent) Wagner, Eric Ruble. Gabe Miller, and Zach Miller; great-grandchildren, Avery Wagner and Joey Wagner; sister, Vicki (Pete) Rapol; and many other loving friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Bob (Barb) Miller; Ron Miller, and Rick Miller.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 10:00AM at St. Bernadette Church with Father Olvera officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4PM-7PM, with a Vigil at 6:45PM, at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME (436 N. Broad St. Lancaster, OH 43130).
