

Billy “Bill” Ray Williams 75, of Rushville, went to be with God on March 31st, 2023. Bill was born on August 24th, 1947 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Frederick R. and Betty Jean Williams. He was a 1966 graduate of Fairfield Union High School, where he played football, basketball, baseball and sang in the chorus. Bill served in the United States Army for 2 years as a K9 Trainer and had retired from Diamond Power after 44 years of service. He participated as an umpire for 10 years and belonged to the Chief Tarhe Beagle Club for 50 years; as well as the American Legion in Pleasantville.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Nancy Ann Williams; son, Tim Williams; daughter, Cindy Flagg, both of Lancaster; step-son, William Douglas “Rossco” Kabel, of Georgia; four grandkids; two great-grandkids; half-sister, Susan Michael of Lancaster; and his special friends, Mark and Brenda Zwoll, John Harmond, John and Daina Freeland, Deer Hunting buddy, Randy Jackson, Nelson Powell, Jerry and Chris Fields, and Rick and Shirley Rager; as well as many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Clinton and Grace Cox; and his brother, Thomas Williams.
Nancy would like to give special thank you’s to Fairfield Medical Center, FairHoPe Hospice and the Pickering House; as well as her sister, Sharon Garey for all her help and support.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 at 1PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME officiated by Tom Tiller. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 4PM-7PM at the Funeral Home, as well as ONE HOUR PRIOR to the services on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FairHoPe Hospice (282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130) in Bill’s memory.
