Carol Ann Richards, 73 of Winter Haven Florida passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Winter Haven Hospital. Carol was born on August 15, 1952 in War, West Virginia to the late Carlos and Betty Sykes. She was a 1970 graduate of Lancaster High School and had retired from Anchor Hocking Glass in 2019. Carol moved to Florida in 2022 to be close to her daughter. She loved her cats, being near the water, bird watching, planning trips, traveling, casinos and eating out. Carol enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas and watching Storm Chasers.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Lisa Richard and her husband, Eric Floyd; granddaughter, Grace Floyd; sister, Connie Bosworth, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven K Richards and parents.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 11, 2025 at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Humane Society of Fairfield County or charity of choice.
