Chris Paul Whightsel

Chris Paul Whightsel, 74 of Thurston, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Chris was born in Lancaster, Ohio on April 17, 1951 to the late Paul Whightsel and Delores Holt. He had many loves in his life including his dog, Lexie and spending time at the beach, especially in Naples, Florida. Chris enjoyed the time he spent shooting BB guns with his grandsons, playing putt-putt (even though he was a sore loser), and playing poker. Most of all, he loved any time spent with his family.

Chris is survived by his wife, Vickie Whightsel; daughter, Angel (Brian) Snoke; stepson, Todd Rutter; brother, Randy (Kathy) Holt; sister, Ronda (Rob) Robinson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and his nephew.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores (Jack) Holt; father, Paul Whightsel and his brothers, Rocky Whightsel and David Whightsel.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 1PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial is to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6PM-8PM at the FUNERAL HOME.
