

David, known to many as Dave, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Noble) Thomas; his children, Cherrish “Cher” (Darin) Hively, Scott (Becky Jo) Thomas, Cyrus Kline, and Clint Kline. He was a proud grandfather to Alyssa Brannon, Bethanie (Dominique) Hendrix, Caitlynn (Austin) Crago, Tyler Thomas, Hailee (Corey Joe) Fincham, Kiara Thomas, and Joey Thomas, and was blessed with eight great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Jon (Darla) Thomas, along with many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Juanita (Newman) Thomas, and his son, Corey Kline.
Dave was a United States Army Veteran who served proudly during the Vietnam Era. Dave dedicated 35 years of his life to working as a truck driver, retiring in 2020. He took pride in his work and the life he built for his family through years on the road.
In his free time, Dave enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, and cheering on his beloved Tennessee Volunteers. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for his family, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Services will be held at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 27, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Immediately following the service, a dinner will be held at American Legion Post 11. Anyone wishing to bring food for the family may drop it off at the American Legion between Friday and Saturday morning.
Dave’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
