Elizabeth A. (Ann) Cole passed away on Monday October 2, 2023. Born in Lancaster, Ohio on July 24, 1929 to parents Robert and Anne Jefferies. Ann was raised in Lancaster where she attended school, graduating from St. Mary’s High School with the class of 1949. Ann was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She was an avid reader, Buckeyes Fan and animal lover who greatly enjoyed the company of her many friends and family. Her warmth, sense of humor, contagious laugh, and good nature were appreciated by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed by her survivors, including her three sons Jeffery (Janie) Uhl, Jerry Uhl, and Christopher Cole, daughter Leann Baker, niece Michelle Kiger, step-daughter Cindy Cole, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Judy Dick, husband Gerald E. “Gene” Cole, stepchildren Gary Cole, Jeff Cole, Graig Cole, son-in-law Larry Baker, uncle Monsignor Yonk and three aunts, Marcella Huffman, Theresa Holmes and Mary Margaret Boyer. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 5-7PM at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Fairhope Hospice of Fairfield County or St. Bernadette Church.
