Florence E. Tipple

Florence E Tipple, 99 of Lancaster, passed away Sunday March 16, 2025. Florence was born on January 15, 1926 in Hocking County, Ohio to the late Harry I Strawn and Carrie Unger Strawn. She was a member of First Church of God, Olivedale Senor Center and Ohio National Education Association. Florence graduated Ohio University in 1964. She taught for Lancaster City and Fairfield Union Schools until retiring in 1988.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Phil) Klemz and Judith (Ron) McMullen, grandchildren, Scott McMullen (Kelsey Duke), Renee (John) Reilly, great grandchildren, Graham, Emma, Emmett, Oakley and Duke; brothers, Samuel (Mary Jo) Strawn and Leo (Kay) Strawn, sister, Darlene Ruff.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Harry E Tipple; parents, brothers, Lester (Edna) Strawn and Martin (Bonnie) Strawn, sister, Evangelene Hull, brother-in-law, Phillip Ruff.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 21, 2025 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Helser officiating. Entombment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Thursday 6-8PM at funeral home as well as 1 HR PRIOR to the service on Friday.
