Howard Edward Ruff

Howard Edward Ruff, a respected resident of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on April 13, 1946 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Robert R Ruff and Catherine Konkler Ruff. Howard proudly served in the US Army and retired from Anchor Hocking after 45 years of dedicated service. He will be remembered for his service, dedication, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis C. Ruff of Lancaster; his son, Phillip Ruff and wife Stefanie of Houston, TX; his daughter, Lori Rosier of Lancaster; and his grandchildren, Gabriel Ruff and Camille Ruff. Howard was also a great-grandfather to Addison Tupman. His surviving siblings include his brother Charles Leo Ruff and wife Shirley, and his sisters Rita Linn and Mary Seals with husband Gary, many nieces and nephews.

Howard was preceded in death by his brothers Fred Ruff, Eugene Ruff, and Earl Ruff; his sisters Vera Ruff, Rose Randolph, and Joanne Taylor; and his step grandson, Taylor Tupman.

A memorial service will be held at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, located at 436 N Broad St, Lancaster, Ohio, 43130, on December 20, 2025, starting at 1:00 pm.
