James Edward Deeds, 89, of Lancaster, passed away Friday February 13, 2026 at the Pickering House. Jim was born on May 18, 1936 in Rushville, Ohio to the late Fulton E and Reba A Ricketts Deeds. He worked for Anchor Hocking in Lancaster and Hirschvogel Group of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Jeffery Deeds and parents. He is survived by his wife, Patricia G Lutz Deeds, Brother, Lanny (Evelyn) Deeds, brother-in-law, Skip and Jill Lutz; cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday February 19, 2026 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer funeral home. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Wymer officiating. Private burial will be at Forest Rose Cemetery.
