Dr. Jeffery Maynard Ayers

Dr. Jeffery Maynard Ayers, 79, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Fairfield Medical Center. Jeffery was born in Des Moines, IA to the late Dr. Francis C Ayers and Rebecca Marshal Ayers. He graduated from Amanda High School in 1964, Received a bachelor's degree from Manchester College, Beta Beta Beta Honorary lifetime member, Geological Society, College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, Des Moines, IA 1972, lifetime member of the Atlas Club. Jeffrey joined the family practice with his father, Dr. FC Ayers in 1974 He continued family practice until working at Fairfield Medical Center. Chief of Staff at Fairfield Medical Center from 1992 -1994, He was a team physician for Amanda Clear Creek High School football team from 1974 to 1996, Placed in the Ohio Athletic Association Hall of Fame in 1996. Jeffrey was a member of Faith Memorial Church, serving as elder for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark S. Ayers.

Survived by his wife of 29 years, Carla A. Stump Ayers, stepdaughters, Chastity (Paul) Frazier, Channon (Jeromy) Rutherford, Tiffany (Jon) Rager; grandchildren, Ashley, Raymond, Matthew, Nicholas, Carla, Emily, Bryce and Faith; 11 great grandchildren with the 12th expecting soon; nephew Jason Ayers and niece, Amy Koenig; great nieces and great nephews.

A visitation for Jeffery will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Faith Memorial Church, 2610 W Fair Ave, Lancaster, OH 43130 with calling from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Church, graveside service will follow at Amanda Twp. Cemetery, Amanda, OH,
