

John L. Brocker, 71 of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, December 25th, 2020 at Crestview Rehabilitation Center. John was born in Lancaster, Ohio on October 31st, 1949 to the late John W. and Irene Brocker. John graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School and served in the United States Army following his graduation. He was stationed in Ethiopia during his time in the service. After serving in the Army he started working at Anchor Hocking as a Cost Accountant, where he met his wife, Nancy. He worked at Kinnear Door Company, for a short time and later went to work for DFAS Account Inc. Services, auditing contracts until his retirement. John was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 43. He was an avid bowler, golfer, fisherman, card shark and pool shark. John was a very fun loving person who adored his daughter, Lindsay. He was also the best husband ever!
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Peters Brocker; daughter, Lindsay Brocker; son and daughter-in-law, Chad (Sabrina) Schneider; grandsons, Derrick and Brock Schneider; brother and sister-in-law, Jim (Ann) Brocker; brother-in-law, Daryl Vanfossen; as well as many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betsy Crosley and Mary Vanfossen and his brother-in-law, Steve Crosley.
Visitation is to be held on Thursday December 31st, 2020 from 12PM to 1PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Private Services are to take place at a later time with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Lancaster.
