John D. Woods

John D. Woods, age 49 of Sugar Grove, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, the Lancaster Moose, and former shop manager at Gandee Precision Machine Shop. John was an avid outdoorsman.

Survived by; his wife of 25 years Catherine “Cathy” Sheets Woods, a son Tanner Jack Woods, his mother Caryl Noland Woods, sisters: Peggy (Daniel) Taylor, Jill (Brian) Wells, a brother Steven (Geri) Woods, mother-in-law Nellie Sheets, nieces, nephews and many Friends.

Preceded in death by his father Jack B. Woods and father-in-law Richard Sheets.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Sugar Grove with Minister Phillip M. Unger officiating. Burial will be at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the Church.

The family suggests contributions to Hospice of Central Ohio in John’s memory.
