Joseph Milton Gormley, 79, of Lancaster, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 9, 2026. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Milton and Martha Gormley. Joseph was a jack of all trades and lived to serve the Lord with all of his, heart, mind, and soul. He was a longtime member of Fairfield Christian Church, where he served as an adult Sunday school teacher for over 20 years.
Joseph is survived by his children, Christopher M. (Marcia) Gormley, and Janna M. Gormley; grandchildren, Sarah A. Gormley, David M. Gormley, Kaitlyn A. Silvia, Noah A. Silvia, Jacob A. Gormley, Emma D. Gormley; brother, Patrick C. Gormley; niece, Jennifer Lynn (Randy) Lee; nephew, John Patrick (Barbara) Gormley; and his many beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia M. Gormley, his parents, his son, Anthony J. Gormley, USMC.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2PM-4PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, August 22, 2026. A time for friends and family to share memories will occur at 4PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Faith Memorial Church (2610 W Fair Ave. Lancaster, OH 43130).
