Karen A Gardner, 83 of Columbus, passed away, June 23, 2026. Karen was born on October 1, 1942, in Lancaster, Ohio to the late William E. Burt and Helen Bender Burt. Karen was a 1960 Lancaster High School graduate, she was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a dedicated Quilter, instrumental in starting Lancaster Rose Quilters, enjoyed sewing, word finds, crocheting, reading and watching cooking shows. Karen loved going to Fairfield County Fair, eating fair fries and viewing all the Arts and Crafts.
She was preceded in death her parents, sisters, Janet Figgins and Gaye Huff.
She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Ronald L. Gardner, children, Todd Gardner, Tara Gardner and Trent Gardner; grandchildren, Tiffany, Hunter and step grandson, Corey; nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fairhope Hospice of Lancaster in her memory. Private services will be held later.
