Kathleen Suzanne Elder

Kathleen Suzanne Elder, age 62, of Pleasantville, passed from this life and went home to be with the Lord and her eternal family on Sunday, July 24th 2016. Kathy was born on April 9, 1954 to the late Henry and Iola (Freeman) Wise and was the beloved wife of Kevin for 41 years. She is survived by sons Zachary (Lauren), Jacob (Melanie), granddaughter Allyson Marynn, daughter Elizabeth, granddaughter Jade Marie, sister Evna (Ken) Wise Selbee and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceeded in death by her brothers, Al and Mike Wise. Kathy was originally from New Franklin near Akron. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1972 and obtained a horticulture degree from The Ohio State University in 1976. Kathy had a love of flowers, animals, movies, reading and quilting. She was a member of the Lancaster Rose Quilters.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30AM Friday July 29, 2016 at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Karen Kepner officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Evangelical Church of Colfax Memorial Fund, American Diabetes Association, or the Arthritis Foundation.
