Mr. Barr, we knew each other well. Respected for who you were, how you did it and WHAT you did. You taught us WELL!

Mr Barr was a very good fun loving family man. He loved his family so much! He always took his job of coaching seriously. It was not about winning it was teaching the kids how to honestly play the game. He taught them how to respect their team mates and the other teams and ref's. It was an honor to know him. I know the family will miss him , you have wonderful memories to keep in your heart and he will even be more precious to you as time goes on. Love to you all

Sorry for your loss.  I had many nice conversations with Mr. Barr after high school when we would bump into each other at the grocery store or at the auctions.

This world has lost a great man in Mr. Barr. He helped many young men to become what they are today. Many of my brothers and I had Mr Barr as a teacher and coach. Our deepest sympathy to his family

We are sorry to learn of Mr. Barr's passing.  We had three children attend Lancaster High School when he was principal.  The experience was extremely positive under Lee's guidance.  God Bless.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Barr.  We seem to be losing all the great ones recently.  I had him for Algebra and he made me learn it and love it.  I remember seeing him in later years as he helped out Mike Clum Auctions.  There he was in his little bib overalls and suspenders...how cute!  Remembering him brings a smile to my face.  Condolences to the entire family.

So sad to hear about your dad. What a wonderful person/teacher he was. I remember him the halls of LHS with a serious look on his face but there was always a smile not too far away that would come out! You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this time. Keep the happy memories close!

To the Barr Family...
I was a 1982 graduate at LHS and Mr. Barr was the principal at the time. I never knew him personally, but I'm sure he was fair, inspirational, yet a gentle great man. Most of my time was spent in the Vocational Wing at LHS so I never crossed paths with him very much. As a teacher and principal, I'm sure he impacted many-many students. He will surely be missed by a lot of them including myself. God bless the Barr family and may Lee Rest In Peace.

God Bless you Mr. Barr, I had him for Trig when I was a senior. He always taught more than Trig in that class. Part of my success in life was because of the lessons I learned in Mr. Barr's class. He was truly what a teacher should be. I have the greatest amount of respect for him. I could never bring myself to call him anything but Mr. Barr.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Barr's passing.
I had him for Trig when I was a senior at Lancaster. He used to teach us more than math in that class. He always would throw in a little life lesson. I always liked his class, He didn't put up with much as I remember. I would see him out and around from time to time and he would always speak and remind me I had been one of his students and he knew when and the class and remembered my name which impressed me because it was over 40 years ago. I could never bring myself to call him Lee it was always yes Mr. Barr and no Mr. Barr that was the respect I had for the man. Part of what success I had in my life was because of the lessons I learned in that Trig class. That was the mark of a great teacher.

I was sadly surprised this morning to learn of Lee's passing. He seemed so full of life each time I would run into him at one of Mike Clum's sales. We would take a few minutes to catch up and after, I'd walk away thinking how well he was doing and how full his life was.
Our families shared so many years together. I can't believe he's gone.
