
Linda (Lin) Jean Foster of Rushville, Ohio joined our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Born on October 22, 1943 to parents Ragnar E. Pederson and Eloise (Nelson) Pederson in Duluth, Minnesota. Married to Lewis Michael Foster, better known as Mike, on December 7, 1963.
After graduating high school Lin went to Anchorage, Alaska to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a secretary where she met Mike. They were soon married and blessed with their son, Terry. Mike's career took them to Detroit, Michigan for a few years but was transferred to Minneapolis, Minnesota office and daughter Tracee arrived in 1967. While in Minnesota, Lin worked for General Mills and their subsidiary, Yoplait. She took early retirement in the late 1980's when Mike was transferred to Phoenix, Arizona. They lived 11 years in Arizona until his retirement in 1999 when they moved to the farm to be surrounded by family in Rushville.
Lin loved playing cards and cribbage with her son and Scrabble with anyone who was up for the challenge. She passed her time reading, doing crosswords and collecting recipes. Lin was a fantastic cook and loved to cook for people.
She is survived by her children, Terry Foster, Tracee Foster Polak and her guy Robert Shields, Granddaughters Jamie and Carly Polak, brother Jerry Pederson, sister Peg Andrew and many, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Lewis Michael Foster, parents Ragnar and Elois Pederson and Minnie cat.
