Lucas Levi Bazell was born on November 30th, 1979 in Logan, Ohio. When his sister was born she became his sidekick and what one didn't think of- the other did. He was raised and adored in a loving family in Bremen, Ohio and graduated from Fairfield Union High School and later Ohio State University ATI with a degree in landscape design and architecture. Lucas had a brilliant mind and he had a passion about plants, orchids in particular. His professors remarked that he knew more about plants than they did and would remark about this while pressing him to go into horticulture education. He and his family worked together in the family business, Flowers of the Good Earth for many years. His survivors are his father, Jeff Bazell, mother, Teresa Waits, and sister, Carson Stobart. Lucas loved his son, Jamison and daughter, Carson with all his heart . His nephew Aidan and niece Stella were very special to him. Lucas was fortunate to have many friends that loved and cared deeply about him. He passed away unexpectedly on January 25th in his mother's home. He had recently successfully completed a program and was looking forward to moving forward with his life. Though he struggled in this life, we are certain that he is wrapped in the arms of those that knew his love and light. Life is brief. A visitation for Lucas will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, Lancaster.
