Margaret Ann Coffman went to be with her savior on August 4th, 2025, at the age of 90, following a short stay at the Springs Assisted Living facility in Lancaster Ohio. She was born Margaret Ann Stewart on February 19th, 1935, in New Lexington, Ohio. She attended New Lexington Methodist Church and graduated from New Lex High School. On December 15th, 1953, she married Clarence Coffman, the one she said she had her eye on since 2nd grade. Over their 68 years of marriage, they moved to Lancaster where they built a home, raised their family and made many friends.
Mom’s focus was always faith and family. She took great pride in her home and even more in her children. She attended Maple St. United Methodist Church and later Fairfield Christian Church. She loved music (especially Glen Campbell), her dogs, going to yard sales, and traveling with Clarence (as long as it wasn’t on his motorcycle).
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Coffman and mother, Ethel Essington. She is survived by her children, Jeff (Sandie), Brenda, Randy (Traci), grandchildren, Kyle Coffman (Meredith), Trevor Coffman (Sarah), Shelby Eveland, McKenna Guzman (Trey) and 3 great-grandchildren, Callum, Paisley, and Amara.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 11th from 5 to 8 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer, 436 N. Broad St. Lancaster, Ohio. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 12th at 1:00 at the funeral home with interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
