Marjorie N. Hampson

LANCASTER: Marjorie Nadine Hampson, 88, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Alter Care of Wadsworth Center Nursing Home. Born on June 21, 1928 at home in Millersport to the late Neal Aldren and Doris Corrine (Miller) Wyckoff. Nadine was a member of the First United Methodist Church, member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Past Matron Order of Eastern Star, and member of Yuletide Temple # 404 Pythian Sisters. She worked as a registered nurse for 41 years as Head Nurse, OBGYN Lancaster Fairfield County Hospital, Assistant Administrator Hocking Valley Community Hospital; Director of Nursing Fairfield County Board of Health and Nursing Home Inspector for the State of Ohio Human Services Department.

Survived by; sons, Michael and Lina Hampson, Patrick and Debra Hampson, Timothy and Monica Hampson; daughter-in-law, Pamela Hampson; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years Jerry Ray Hampson; son, J. Jay Hampson; and brothers Robert and Glenn Wyckoff.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will follow at Hampson Cemetery, Pleasantville. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday and 3-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
